Balls for Nepal from Dutch Volleyball Federation
23.05.2019
Former Dutch national player Judith Pietersen visited the Child Watabaran Centre in Nepal to take part in the Volleyball4Life project.
This program, which is an initiative of Nepalese national player Kopila Upreti and NEVOBO, focuses on helping girls to develop life skills through volleyball. Especially girls have difficulties to obtain a independent and strong position in society.
The Child Watabaran Centre provides shelter, food and education for ex-street kids. Supported by Net4Kids the Volleyball4Life project is included in the curriculum to prepare these children for an independent life. Top players like Judith inspire the girls and encourage them to find their passion and create their own chances for a better future.
